Everything Taylor Swift! Day 11: How to Write a Song

Hi Swifties!

Today we're going to learn how to write a song. This is going to be a live video! Awesome, right? So, let's get started with the steps and then the video.


Step 1: Get a notebook and pencil out. It's best to write with paper.

Step 2: Think of a past memory or feeling you've experienced recently.

*Tip: What I typically do is write the lyrics and then sing it with a melody. When I see it all done with written lyrics, I can get a better picture of what it should sound like.

Step 3: Jot down everything you feel. Make the lyrics everything you imagine them in your head.

Step 4: Once you've finished the lyrics, look at the lyrics. Try to make up a tune  that sounds awesome with it.

Step 5: Once you've finished the song, record it onto a phone or computer. That way, you won't ever lose it.
